About the Artist
Jerrid Jones is a self-taught fine-art photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. His photographic journey began with his father's film camera, sparking a lifelong fascination with imagery, experimentation, and the stories photographs can tell beyond what is immediately visible.
His work has been featured in Popular Photography magazine and published in books including The Complete Portrait Manual and Lensbaby: Bending Your Perspective.
Through portraiture, layered imagery, and experimental photographic techniques, Jones explores identity, emotion, and the complexities of human connection, creating images that invite viewers to look beyond the surface.
One Million Unspoken Words
A silent storybook of 500 portraits and the unspoken words they hold.
What stories lie hidden behind the faces we show the world?
Created over the course of a decade, One Million Unspoken Words is a fine-art photography project exploring identity, vulnerability, and the quiet complexity of human connection.
Each portrait combines a human face with carefully selected textures, creating layers that both conceal and reveal. The eyes remain gray and free of textures, inviting the viewer to look beyond appearances and discover something more personal.
Presented in the exact order they were created, the 500 portraits form a visual journey through ten volumes, each containing 50 images.
The series is available as ten individual premium hardcover books or as a single complete collection containing all 500 portraits.
Five hundred portraits. One million unspoken words.
